Goal of the event:
As ExchangeAbility committe, we visited our friends in Down Cafe. We have had a great time. We want to raise and create awareness. We want to show that they are living the same life as us and working in the same way.
Short description of the event:
We went to the Down Café which is very close to our home university - Yasar University in Izmir. This cafe which opened by the municipality provided business opportunities for our friends with Down syndrome. They are working and earning their own money. We met with them individually, and chatted with them. They wanted to hang the picture they took with us and they hang it.
We respect them and support them very much. We will always be by their side. The number of Down's Café in the hope that further increases. . We are very grateful to everyone who supports this place.
How did your event go?:
It went very well. Everyone was very pleased. The feedbacks from our paarticipants was very nice. We will continue to visit there regularly.
