Description
Aim of the event:
  • Promote mobility
  • Raise Awareness
  • Mapping
Goal of the event:
The goal of this event was to raise awareness of several IROs from Lisbon Universities and the Portuguese Erasmus+ National Agency. Also to help them to become more accessible through workshops!
There was also the goal to promote mobility for students with disabilities! Member's from Portuguese sections were present as well as Portuguese Project Manager Eunice Soares.
Short description of the event:
'Erasmus Is For Everyone' was a conference organised by ESN Lisboa in partnership with the rectory of the University of Lisbon and funded by ESAA through a Mobility Grant!

The event was divided into two parts.

In the morning the conference was held with several speakers including the Vice Rector of the University of Lisbon, a representative of the Portuguese Government and member of the Portuguese Erasmus+ National Agency. They introduced the topic and talked about all the existing incentives for students with disabilities such as the supplementary grants.
Then ESN Lisboa was introduced by our Communication Manager Patrícia Cruz.
As previously said ESN Lisboa won a grant from ESAA, and that grant was used to bring international members from ExchangeAbility Team! Therefore the International Board responsible for ExchangeAbility Thomas Pappas and the ExchangeAbility Communication Officer Nives Tomas presented ESN and the ExchangeAbility project on the International Level to the IROs of Lisbon! In the end of the conference the videos of the Ambassadors were shown to the audience!

After the Lunch, the OC and some attendees mapped the University of Lisbon rectory building using the new project MappED! website.

Thomas and Nives made two workshops for the IRO staff and ESN members! Thomas did the workshop '6 Accessibility Tips' where he told about how to make digital content such as emails and presentations fully accessible. And Nives did the workshop 'Disability Etiquette' which was about how to correctly approach persons with disabilities. After the workshops the event finished!
How did your event go?:
It went really well all the audience present was really interested and taking a lot of notes and asking questions! They were really interested in MappED! And even said that they will map their own faculties! ESN Lisboa was even invited to take part of a meeting with the Erasmus+ National Agency regarding the topic!
ESN Lisboa and ESN in general were highly praised and the conference was even featured in a national newspaper article!

The International guest were amazing their presentation and workshops were above perfect and really useful and informative!

We are 100% sure that the IROs and ESNers present left the conference knowing a lot more regarding the topic!
