It begins by visiting the monument of the victims of 11M. In Atocha. Sense of hearing. With words in the fabric of the monument we will help to know what each partner has said in the ear.
Once outside the monument we will cross Atocha without the sense of sight. We will go through the corridors alongside the passers-by who pass by the station, listening, smelling and touching to move to the next point.
(Tropical Garden) second surprise point for Erasmus, without the sense of sight we will arrive at this place where the weather conditions are different than where we had passed before. Temperature, humidity, noise. You will have to guess where they are.
Stop at the turtle pond. With the sense of sight and without it, in pairs one blindly and one with vision should explain to their blind partner what they see in a minute. Where they can not say certain prohibited words like: Turtle, Water, Pond or Lake.
At the end of this activity you can see the pond by all participants giving a talk about M.A. And invasive species. Do not buy pets if it is not clear that it is a living being that will grow and last for many years in which it needs a lot of care.
And finally walk the garden internally to sit on their benches. Where we will carry out activities of Put in my shoes. We will fasten clothes, tie laces, zippers without having our limbs 100% free.
Once finished the last activity we will go from tapas to Lavapiés.
How did your event go?:
Very cooperative and very enriching activity, they loved each and every one of the activities carried out by and for Erasmus. In each activity, feedback was given in which participants expressed their feelings. The activity made them able to put themselves in the shoes of people with different disabilities and realize how their day to day life can be with some form of disability.
