Description
Aim of the event:
  • Raise Awareness
  • Make ESN Accessible
Goal of the event:
By meeting with Dalì's masterpieces we wanted to rise the awareness of our Erasmus students by showing them how the blind person can also enjoy the art!
We also wanted to show them how hard sometimes, it is for a person to describe some picture particulary for a blind colleague.
This was a nice way to finish our ExchangeAbility Week.
Short description of the event:
We divided all the students in pairs. Firstly, one of them was covering his/her eyes and the second person from the couple turned into a guide. And the guide had to describe as particulary as it was possibile the chosen painting. In that time the blind person was trying to draw it.
After drew it, they compared their paintings with the originals. After that, the people changed the roles. Now, the blind persone became the guide and the guide became the blind person.
In that way everyone had the chance to take partin the exhibition in two ways - which helped to understand better the life not only of the blind person but also of his guide.
How did your event go?:
It went amazingly good! The Erasmus people enjoyed it a lot, and they didn't want the event to stop. They really felt the Dalì's soul and also they understood how the others can enjoy the art, altought the disability. The people said that it was even harder to be a guide and describe perfectly the painting then being the blind person. Of course being blind also was hard because the sheet of paper was bigger then you actually thought it would be.
