Goal of the event:
The objective of this activity was to carry out a brief introductory language workshop in order to learn expressions and vocabulary in sign language, the alphabet, as well as introductions and everyday conversations.
Short description of the event:
The activity took place in the Facultad de Ciencias del Deporte y la Facultad de Actividad Fisica at the University of Valencia. Like every year, our contact in SAD at the University of Valencia offered us Raquel, who is in charge of teaching the Sign Language courses at the University of Valencia, to come during our event at UV to give a small little workshop.
Once there, Raquel offered some informative brochures about an app to learn Sign Language on and another brochure with the sign language alphabet. The activity was dynamic, fun and participative. During the session we were shown greetings, the months of the year, the days, the seasons and how to say your name
How did your event go?:
In the sign language workshop around 25-30 people participated, so it was all very dynamic and all the participants who took part were very active. Raquel, who was in charge of carrying out the workshop, informed those who attended about a mobile application that allows you to learn sign language
