Description
Aim of the event:
  • Raise Awareness
Goal of the event:
Showing how difficult is daily life for blind people, even just to eat or to know other people. We organised this event to raise awarness about this subject in a funny way.
Short description of the event:
ESNers arrived a half hour before the beginning of the event to prepare tables, talking to the café owners and cut the pieces of cloth.
Erasmus arrived at 20:00 and at first they had to eat and drink blindfolded the Italian "aperitivo". ESNers encouraged them to do this because at the beginning Erasmus were hesitant, maybe they were ashamed.
Then, they had a real blind speed date, so every 5 minutes we moved every boy to let the Erasmus know everyone, while the girls were sat and didn't move (to be more organized). Of course, the number of girls was different than the number of boys, so some ESNers joined the activity, and everyone had fun.
How did your event go?:
Everything went well and everybody was very enthusiast. For me the space wasn't big enough, but we can eventually change it next year
