  • Promote mobility
  • Raise Awareness
Goal of the event:
Our aim was to show that people with disabilities and those without can equivalently interact and act together. Also, the aim of this event was to reduce indifference and encourage unity within society.
Short description of the event:
Together with people from disability center Klaipedos Lakstute, we were making an Advent Wreath. Disabled people really enjoyed making it almost on their own. For many Christians, Advent wreaths are a favorite way to celebrate the month of December leading up to Christmas Day. An advent wreath can be a teaching tool and a reminder for Christians of the true meaning of Christmas. After that, ESNers together with students went to a different craft classes, where people with disabilities together with teachers are making decorations from paper, beads, sewing, making candles. Also there are pottery and computer classes. In this day care center people are learning how to cook, use a computer, and other basic tools as washing machine, dishwasher, iron, oven, how to express themselves and interact.
