Description
Aim of the event:
  • Raise Awareness
Goal of the event:
We wanted to raise awarness to the difficulties that blind people have on a daily basis. Bowling may seem simple but when you are deprived of sight, everything become a challenge. Change the perception student have of disabled people by putting them in there situation for some time.
Short description of the event:
We made teams mixing the ESNers and Erasmus students. And then we explained the rules and the Exchangeability program.

The Eramus students and ESNers played blind folded , for some part of the game*. Once it was his/her turn the player got blind folded by one of his/her teamate. Then (s)he had the pick up the ball and make her way to the line. Once there they tried to bowl for a strike. If the students is disoriented, he got help from the team to get in the right spot and throw the ball.

*it takes a lot of time to a player to throw 2 balls , so it was better not to do the whole game, but just a part.
How did your event go?:
It went very well, people didn't expect beeing disooriented.
Most of the participant realised how hard it was to evaluate distance, eventhough they knew the place.
Everybody had a good time and found it interesting.
