Description
Aim of the event:
  • Promote mobility
  • Raise Awareness
Goal of the event:
To raise awareness about how is being disabled and encouraging them to promote the Erasmus among their all their friends, also disabled friends. We would like to see how they go back to their universities and raise awareness between the university community.
Short description of the event:
We served different textured dishes to the international students that previously were blindfolded. All of them were sited next to someone they didn’t know having the chance to meet new people. The dinner consisted in a 3 course dinner, where they had to focus on each flavour, smell, texture… So they could experience what blind people might feel in such a daily base activity such eating. The ESN volunteers were there supporting them, helping if they needed more water, food or any concern; but letting them to experience this new situation by themselves. After all they had to guess what they ate and tell us a little bit about the experience, if they liked to be blindfolded and how they felt about the whole activity.
How did your event go?:
They were all really happy about it and wanted to repeat the activity.
