Goal of the event:
The goal was the sensitization of Erasmus students about the disability in moving and seeing. The students were sensitized about the lack of one or more senses to better understand the difficulties of students with disabilities.
Short description of the event:
At italian lessons of our ESN section PEP Perugia we blindfolded one student and the others had to indicate her the route using a few commands. They also tasted chocolates and candies when they were blindfolded and they guessed what that was.
In this way they had the chance to experience the lack of a sense and so the difficulties that students with disabilities usually have. We explained too how the Erasmus+ mobility program is also open to this students but that usually is not taken into consideration.
In the end they liked the kind of activity we organized, in collaboration with the italian teachers.
How did your event go?:
Students were really excited of the activity because it is not usual do something like that and they never experienced the lack of a sense.
