Goal of the event:
The aim of the activity was to raise awareness of deaf people. During the event we wrote and wrote pancakes in silence and communicated by writing on them. What are the challenges of disability in life, how can we help them overcome these challenges, how can we socialize with them, how can we change prejudices about disabled people, if we are disabled, how will we feel? Can we include them in Erasmus life? In this activity, we had a hard time trying to figure them out
Short description of the event:
We organised the activity of 'Dialogue in Silence' with 6 people. The aim of the activity was creating awareness for deaf people. During the activity we had been working on various topics silently and we were writing on the banner. The topics which we talked about are; what are the difficulties for disabled people in life, how can we help them to get over those difficulties, how can we socialise with them, how can we change people's prejudices about disabled people, what would you feel if you were a disabled person and how can we include them into the Erasmus life. We have understood how difficult life they have and they have limited opportunities to tell us their ideas and opinions. The difficult part of the activity was realising how they live and continue to life with their disabilities. We had hard times while we were trying to understand them in this activity and we have noticed some of our friends' patience.
