Description
Aim of the event:
Raise Awareness
Goal of the event:
To raise awareness about the deaf community and try to communicate without hearing or saying anything. Moreover, we started a contact with FESOPRAS, which is the local deaf people community for any other possible collaboration.
Short description of the event:
The event had 3 parts:
Part one: we watched a video about how being disabled shouldn't be taken as a bad thing in life. It was to create awareness about every kind of disability.
Part 2: a local ONG called FESOPRAS (Federación de personas sordas del Principado de Asturias) came and gave us a chat about the deaf community. After that they teached us some basic sign language expressions.
Part 3: we played a game in which one person plays the role of a movie/song/famous person/etc and the rest of the participants had to guess what was he/she doing.
How did your event go?:
Even though the participants weren't too many people, they were really happy at the end. They said it was really interesting and that they learnt some new things.
