Goal of the event:
Goal of the event was to encourage students and especially students with disabilities to participate in Erasmus+ Program. We wanted them to know their options, how to apply and to hear experiences from the first hand.
Short description of the event:
Lecture was divided in two parts. First one was focused on general information about mobility, ESN, ExchangeAbility and Erasmus+ Program. We told them how to apply for studying and practices, what are requirements, paperwork and language issues and other. Then there was a round of questions regarding that. It lasted around an hour. After that we held the second part and that was sharing experiences from students and others that participated in the program before. Each person explained problems and difficulties that they encountered during their stay abroad. Some of them talked about physical obstacles, some about people you meet, studies, food, travel, etc. After this, participants were full of questions which we tried to answer as best we could. We anticipated it will last two hours but the interest was so big we prolonged for half an hour.
How did your event go?:
It was very educational for participants because we explained to them the whole process of application and answered to all the questions they had. They especially liked the part with sharing experiences because it made everything more personal. Atmosphere was relaxed and they could comment at any time they wished what was exactly what we wanted.
