As ESN Canakkale - Erasmus Student Network Canakkale, we are almost at the end of the ExchangeAbility Week. Thanks to the ESN family to give us such a great opportunity to realize how significant and meaningful this situation is.
Our last activity for this weekend is called " No Words" which has not been mentioned yet. There are many people who have "Communication Disorder". Therefore, we would like to raise awareness for them in this way.
How to do this activity?
I will write simple sentences on a piece of paper, for example "IT IS COLD OUTSIDE", "MY FOOT HURTS" and "I HATE ICE-CREAM"
I will show the sentence to a student. The student must let the others know the sentence "without writing, speaking or using any letters of the alphabet."
And then I will discuss if it was difficult to communicate by using this method. How can we communicate with someone who can not talk back? How can we help them communicate? In that way, people put themselves into shoes of these people who have Communication Disorder.
How did your event go?:
In some sentences, it was really hard for them. Because of this reason, they wanted to change their sentence with another paper.
