Goal of the event:
To create awareness about Communication Disorder and Hearing Impairment is the real aim of ESN Canakkale.
Short description of the event:
No Words
Communication disorder is one of the most common disabilities. Due to this disability, people have difficulty in communicating with someone else. We, as ESN Canakkale would like to create awareness with a Project which is called No Words.
In this way, some sentences or words are written on the paper. While a participant is trying to act like what is written, the other participant tries to understand what it means.
Lip Reading
Another project that we have done for the first time is Lip Reading. In this activity, the hearing impaired people are taken into consideration.
This game is played with two people in each group. One of them reads the word and the other student tries to guess what it is. However, some words are absolutely challenging to read the lips.
We hope that this will beneficial for the participants to realize how hard to be an hearing impaired person is.
How did your event go?:
It went very well. However, they had the challenging moments so many times.
