Goal of the event:
To spend time and have fun together with our friends who have down syndrome and also run the Down Cafe. To make them forget about their disabilities and make them believe that down syndrome is not a barrier against the communication with other people.
Short description of the event:
We went to Down Cafe to visit our friends who work there. First, we ate the delicious food that was served by our friends who has down syndrome. After their job was done they sat with us and we started to get to know each other. We learned their names and we had a little chat with everyone. And then they wanted to sing songs. One by one, the ones who want to sing a song went to the stage and sang a song. We joined them sometimes, they made us sing. And then we started to dance together. We had so much fun. It was a wonderful day for everyone.
How did your event go?:
It went very well, we had so much fun, even more than we expected. Our friends who work there brought joy to us and it was a great experience. We decided to visit there more.
