Description
Aim of the event:
  • Raise Awareness
Goal of the event:
Through special rules we transformed a usual pub quiz into an ExchangeAbility Quiz. Each round had a special topic and different rules, to make participants feel the challenges that people with disabilities face in their everyday life. The participation fee of at least two euros which everyone paid, was donated to and Austrian organization which supports children and adolescents with disabilities.
Short description of the event:
We met up with exchange students at our regular pub, which hosts a quiz every week. In order to make it an ExchangeAbility Quiz, we changed the rules of the quiz in a way that each round included a different challenge to raise awareness for the struggles of people with disabilities. The first round was a colorblind picture round, showing different commercial logos in black and white, where the task was to write down the color of the marked area of the logo. One task that needed to be done throughout the whole game was, that everyone was only allowed to use his or her non-dominant hand for writing. During some of the other rounds participants were not allowed to talk and had to use other ways of communication to come up with the answers. Another round was a tasting round, where one person per team had to try ten different drinks. This person was not allowed to talk or write, which means the answers for the different falvours needed to be conveyed to the rest of the team non-verbally and someone else needed to write the answer down.
How did your event go?:
