Goal of the event:
Raise awareness about disability between people. Making ExchangeAbility project more visible among the different associations which work with disabled people in Cartagena, Spain. Give information about the project and ask for collaboration with other associations.
Short description of the event:
A private school organized an open day with the topic of diversity seasson. We had already made an EiS activity in that school, so they knew ExchangeAbility project. They prepared a kind of fair with different stands of most of the association which work diversity in Cartagena. Everybody could go to visit that exhibition. As a consequence, the school gave us the opportunity to have a stand with the information of our project as well.Then, our labour was to explain people what ESN is and what ExchangeAbility project consists of. To do so, we provided informative pamphlets, we showed pictures of the project and previous activities, we explained the project and we made some demonstration of what we do.
How did your event go?:
It ran quite good. It was a great opportunity to make people (and associations) aware of what is ESN and what is ExchangeAbility project which were unknown for most of people. Moreover, it was useful to get contacts with other associations which have similar objectives to us.
