Goal of the event:
To raise awareness about how dark is it, when somebody is blind and teach people about how hard is it for blind people even the normal thing like traveling by lift or making sandwich.
Short description of the event:
We prepared for them trip around campus but blindfolded with help of white cane to show them how hard it is for blind people. During trip they had challenges like recognizing or eating. After we come back to our office we ask them to write something, guess color or something else which is really impossible when you are blind to show them how hard is it and then we ask them to prepare some sandwich.
Also we prepared donating box for dogs for blind people. Which was taken after to the center Helppes (help dog in Czech language) where they train dogs for blind people.
How did your event go?:
Actually biggest problem was,that people come trough time and even that we prepared trip around campus we stayed at our dorm and we went on small trips around dorm.
But it was fun and everybody enjoy it.
