Description
Aim of the event:
  • Raise Awareness
Goal of the event:
Our goal in this activity is to understand visually impaired. We can see what's around us. We can see that the meal is over but they can not. We wanted to know what they were living in their lives. We wanted to learn by touching things around us. We wanted to guess what we ate
Short description of the event:
Lunch in the Dark: Exchange students "lost their sense of vision" at the entrance to our restaurant. We tied our eyes with black fabrics. We tried to figure out what's around us. We tried to figure out who we are. The main course was served - a food consisting of very different components and consistencies. Then our meals came. We tried to guess our food by sniffing. We found our fork and started eating. We did not open our eyes until our meals were finished. When we opened our eyes, every place are terrible. In the end participants were asked about their feelings and experiences.
How did your event go?:
This event was very good. Everybody liked it. They said it was very efficient. I would like to organize such an activity again at next time.
