Goal of the event:
The goal was to not only show the participants the way in which the campus of Tomar is already capable or not to receive students with disabilities or special needs, but also put Tomar on the map as one of the institutions registered on the platform.
Short description of the event:
The activity was organised in order to be related with the workshop from the previous day. By applying the knowledge discussed on Monday, the participants used the ESN App "MappED" to first identify the efforts made by the Institute to make the facilities of the campus accessible to students with disabilities and after that identify the gaps and all kinds of barriers that may arise for students with special needs. Afterwards, the participants registered both schools (Escola Superior de Gestão de Tomar and Escola de Tecnologia de Tomar) in the Campus of Tomar in the platform, allowing Tomar to be a direct part of the network of accessible universities.
How did your event go?:
There was a very small number of participants, but they were very engaged and very little orientation was needed, because of it.
