Description
Aim of the event:
  • Raise Awareness
Goal of the event:
To raise the awareness of disability between the erasmus students who are carrying out their Erasmus studies in Spain. So that, present the Spanish culture to the disable children of a school.
Short description of the event:
The school we went was working by projects different countries. Each class had different country to work on. The disable children classroom was working on Spain. So that, we prepared a PowerPoint presentation to explain the Spanish culture adapted to their development. After a presentation about the colours of the flag, the cities, the language, the typical food, the beautiful landscapes, the main cities, we dressed up some stuff to look like as flamenco dancers. Once we were ready, we danced flamenco with the children. First, we danced it all together and later in pairs. Then, children and us painted the Spanish flag in our faces.
On the other hand, children showed us their works about Spain, and other dance they had learnt before.
How did your event go?:
Children loved the activity. They loved to dress up as flamenco dancers and later dancing flamenco. Moreover, they liked knowing which food Spanish people eat and international people do not.
On the other hand, teachers were very glad we came because it was an opportunity to other people tell them things about Spain. So, children were enthusiastic and very participative.
