Goal of the event:
The purpose of the Sign Language Tandem event is to increase public awareness of deaf issues, people, and culture. Promote the rights of Deaf people throughout the world, including education for Deaf people, the use of sign languages.
Short description of the event:
We already joined an event with our Erasmus students to learn the basics of International Sign Language so we decided to made the The Sign Language Tandem after of it. This time we learn to introduce ourselves not only in International Sign Language but also in German Sign Language, Turkish Sign Language and Czech Sign Language. And we also have learned the differences between Sign Languages in a funny way, doing some games. After the games we talked about daily life of a deaf people, we imagined ourself without the ability to hear, not even the slightest sound. We asked the following questions to ourselves. How would you carry out your daily tasks and activities? What would you do to complete them properly?
How did your event go?:
It was great experiences to discover to learn how to communicate. For our next sign language tandem event we want to
include more languages.
