Goal of the event:
The goal of this event was to inform the erasmus students what the projects of ExchangeAbility and SocialErasmus are, since it was part of the Introduction week. We wanted them to get to know that other part of their Erasmus.
Short description of the event:
When a satisfying number of Erasmus students arrived to the cafeteria the event took place, we made a short introduction about the projects. We talked about their aims and why it is so important to achieve them, as well as the variety of events that are organised during the semester regarding the projects. Then, we wanted to make the whole experience more interactive, so we guided them to play some games. At the first game, they were splitted into groups of 2. One person had to stick at their forehead some papers that had some words written which were about EA and SocialErasmus, like deaf, blind, racism, etc., and the other had to explain to him by gestures what the word was. Furthermore, we played the Whisper Challenge game, where one person listens to loud music and the other whispers word to him, again that have to do with the projects. At the end ,we asked them what they thought of the games and the event as a whole and how their and what their opinion about ExchangeAbility and SocialErasmus was,now that they knew more or less what the projects are about.
How did your event go?:
The event can be described as successful, since the Erasmus people appeared to be having a lot of fun but they were also very interested in the purpose and the aim of these projects. This was shown especially at the end of the event, because many of the erasmus students came and asked us when we were going to organise more ExchangeAbility and Social events as well as where they can go to volunteer to such causes.
