Description
Aim of the event:
  • Raise Awareness
Goal of the event:
The goal of the event was for Erasmus students to get to know each other. They were blindfolded so they could experience how people with disabilities meet new people. We wanted to show them that sight is not everything.
Short description of the event:
At the beginning of the event we decided to divide all of our foreign into pairs and give each of them a blindfold. Next we started reading the previously prepared questions, for example: "What story does your family always tell about you?". Thanks to that they could share their experience and get to know each other better. After a few questions we change the pairs so everyone could talk to different people. We were repeating the process until the lack of questions. After finishing the whole event we took our Erasmus students to the restaurant so they could see how the talks goes without blindfolds.
How did your event go?:
At the beginning it was difficult to acclimate to speak without the vision. After some time they managed to be found in that situation and the rest of the conversations went smoothly. The whole event helped them understand the problems of blind people and what's more important that a blind person is the same person that we are.
