Description
Aim of the event:
  • Raise Awareness
Goal of the event:
The goal of this event was to show International students how visually impaired see the world in different situations. We wanted to show them how different would our life be if we wouldn't have one of our most essential senses: our SIGHT.

Short description of the event:
At the beginning we divided into two groups. We got a short instruction how we should behave on this exhibition. During this event we had to follow the quide. The tour was approximately 1 hour, where we walked through different rooms, like street, a forest or even a bathroom. We could pass the river, feel smell of different fruits and vegetable. It was an amazing opportunity to "see" and feel this beautiful world in total darkness, only with our hands, ears and nose. Students were able to understand how every day can be difficult and special in the same time for visually impaired. This exhibition taught us how important is to help such people and be more tolerant for them.
How did your event go?:
Our event was very successful :) The participants were really joyfull after their experience. We are going to repeat it next semester.
