Goal of the event:
The goal was to show students how people with vision dissabilities can manage their daily life and that they can me as equal part of society as any other. Also how really simple things from daily life can become huge obstacle for disable person.
Short description of the event:
First project manager of the center showed us presentation with history of center and the mains aims of it. We talked about monthly and daily activities that she is organising for blind people and and also annual events. (theatre, big spring cleaning, handcrafting).
After there was a chance to expierence some part of daily life for blind person. We had to make a sandwich with our eyes closed (to be honest, we found it really challenging to do) . Also write our names in Braile. Moreover we could try out different gadets that are created specially for blind people- weights with sound, phone with sound etc.,
How did your event go?:
Everything went well. Students were curious ans asked a lot of questions.
